【UB(Mongolia)=Break News GW】 3월 5일 토요일, 국제체육기자연맹(AIPS=Association Internationale de la Presse Sportive=International Sports Press Association, 회장 잔니 메를로=Gianni Merlo)이, 2018 평창 동계 올림픽 대회 조직위원회(POCOG, 위원장 조양호 한진그룹 회장)가 발표한 알펜시아 슬라이딩 센터 사전 인증 작업 공식 성명서를, AIPS 웹사이트에 실었다. 개막 700여일을 앞둔 이 시점에서 지구촌 언론을 통한 2018 평창 동계 올림픽에 대한 사전 홍보 작업은 지극히 중요하다 할 것이다. 이에 공식 성명서 영어, 한국어 원문을 보도 기사로 싣는다.
English language Alpensia Sliding Centre Pre-Homologation official statement
PYEONCHANG, March 5, 2016 - Gangwon Province, the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation (IBSF), International Luge Federation (FIL) and the PyeongChang Organizing Committee for the 2018 Olympic & Paralympic Winter Games (POCOG) hereby make an announcement regarding the Alpensia Sliding Centre’s pre-homologation. Pre-homologation is part of a greater process of inspecting, which is undertaken before homologation and then followed by the test event. As Sliding Centres inherently involve risk to competing athletes it is crucial to test all safety related facilities. Gangwon Province as the responsible party for the event, Daelim Industrial Company as the track constructor, together with the International Federations has conducted inspections of the track on a regular basis in the recent past. Through the conducting of this pre- homologation process, safety facilities have been identified and thoroughly checked. Furthermore, all parties have exchanged opinions regarding overall competition operation. The track was planned to be tested section by section from the lower part, moving up to the upper part. Regarding the lower part of the track, the ice making was stable. Evaluations of the speed and quality of the ice were positive from tested area. However, the refrigeration plant is not currently stabilized to operate at maximum capacity and current weather conditions prevented the ability to maintain the ice. Athletes have stated their satisfaction about the organization of the homologation process. They have also been pleased with auxiliary facilities such as accommodation and the surrounding environment and have expressed their excitement about the 2018 PyeongChang Olympic Games. Based on what we have experienced through this pre-homologation we will endeavor to eliminate deficiencies for the continuation of the homologation process in October 2016. We will develop a time-table to implement any and all required amendments to facilities after this event.
POCOG will utilize the February and March, 2017 Test Events to train all workforce and guarantee a fantastic Olympic Winter Games. 알펜시아 슬라이딩 센터 사전 승인(Pre-Homologation)과 관련하여 강원도와 국제 봅슬레이 스켈레톤 경기연맹(IBSF), 국제 루지 경기연맹(FIL), 2018 평창 동계 올림픽 대회 조직위원회(POCOG)는 다음과 같이 발표한다. 사전 승인(Pre-Homologation)이란 정식 승인(Homologation) 및 테스트 이벤트 이전에 수행되는 일련의 검측 과정의 일부이다. 슬라이딩 센터가 갖고 있는 잠재적인 위험 요소를 제거하기 위해, 시설물의 안전 테스트가 매우 중요하며, 그간 발주처인 강원도와 시공사인 대림산업은 국제연맹과 정기적인 트랙 검측을 실시해 왔다. 이번 사전 승인 절차를 통해 모든 안전 시설물은 확인되고 면밀히 검사되었다. 이와 더불어, 전반적인 경기 운영과 관련한 의견도 교환하였다. 트랙 테스트는 하단부부터 상단부까지 구간별로 진행될 계획이었으며, 트랙 하단부 제빙은 안정적이었다. 테스트 구간의 속도 및 빙질도 긍정적으로 평가되었다. 그러나, 냉동 플랜트가 아직까지는 안정화 되지 않았고, 날씨 조건도 빙질 유지에 영향을 주었다. 선수들은 사전 승인 운영 과정에 대해 만족감을 표했다. 숙박 및 주위 환경 등 주변 시설에 대해서도 만족했으며, 2018 평창 올림픽에 대한 기대감을 나타내었다.
